About 30th Anniversary Ralph McQuarrie Concept Signature Series
Ralph McQuarrie appeared in Empire Strikes Back (1980) but according to wikipedia.org, did not receive screen credit for
his appearance.
McQuarrie was the official conceptual designer and illustrator for the original Star Wars Trilogy (1977-1983).
These action figures started with conceptual drawings through McQuarrie's artistic work for LucasFilm, LTD.
Each concept figure bears McQuarrie's computerized signature on the lower right corner on the front of each concept
card. (Note: Signatures are not hand written. If they were the collector value could be multiple times current
values.)
The McQuarrie Concept cards have their own unique packaging feature's his art.
McQuarrie is also credited for his works that include the 1978 TV Series Battlestar Galactica,
E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial (1982), and won an Academy Award for his work in Cocoon (1985) (Source). |
